Wakanda forever. I was inspired to paint this scene after watching Black Panther. There’s a scene in which King T’Challa has a spiritual vision with his ancestors, out in a field under a magical starry sky. The plane is quiet, and a few panthers lounge on nearby acacia trees. Here, King T’Challa meets with his father, T’Chaka, and sees a vision of his future. The mood I wanted to capture in this Black Panther painting is of solemn, spiritual reflection which I believe is so important for everyday life. It’s a moment any Black Panther fan would appreciate.
